Your day will start out meeting your captain and naturalist guide who will take you by boat to the coral reef where you will enjoy two hours of snorkeling at two different points within the Cahuita National Park, followed by a tropical fruit snack and time to relax on the beach. The coral reef of this park creates nearly 250 natural habitats, and is home 44 species of crustaceans, 123 different species of fishes, 140 species of shellfish and 1281 species of algae, and possibly many more yet to be discovered! Fire coral, and the endemic red and black coral are among the 35 species you are likely to observe.
Afterwards, enjoy a 1½ hour guided hike through this acclaimed National Park, with a combination of beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and a tropical rainforest where you are likely to spot sloths, frogs, many species of monkeys, butterflies and more.
After the nature hike, the mini-van will take you back to your hotel in Puerto Viejo.
